If you ask me what I came into this world to do, I will tell you; I came to live out loud.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Nope. I go on vacation tomorrow, see my husband after 7+ months...I'm now officially ignoring the world outside my little bit. Nope, for the next few days I'm on vacay and I'm not going to get upset or worry or plot or plan... At least not until I meet up with Sherilyn and we get going... So until Wednesday. I am off until Wednesday!

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... I feel sick. Ginsburg's dissent is 35 pages...that will be some intense reading.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Fuck. SCOTUS is why we can't have nice things.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Clothes to pack -- check Shoes -- personals -- sundries -- boarding passes -- check Two out of five ain't bad?

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Stayed up too late. Now I haz munchies. And if I try to sleep I'll be thinking about food. And if I try to eat I'll be sleepy.

via Facebook... It is 3 pm and I've accomplished about zip today. Le sigh. Oh le well, I le shall be lazy...

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... How is it that, having gotten sleep, I'm actually now MORE tired?

via Facebook... How you get a grumpy pirate to sleep: 1. Head scritches for at least two hours 2. SLEEP! Which means not moving until elebenty hours have passed.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... In bed. Misha is sleeping. Timber has stopped his obsessive quest to reach his sac and yank out his stitches. Well, at least for now he has. He is actually....shhhh...sleeping. And relaxed. So Misha and I are getting in some girl time. Pin a few things, read a few posts, and drift off to sleep...

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... GAH! I really have to get out of the house....in a few days, in a few days....

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... I feel like this should be well understood, but it's been brought to my attention that some people thing that sarcasm--in every context-- is just plain bullying. Mean, and signifies an inability to have a deep friendship because one keeps people at bay. Also it means one is deeply insecure and has low self esteem and lacks knowledge of their true self. *pauses to laugh* Now, I would take the time to dispute all that, but why bother? If sarcasm really bothers you, well, there's the door. I cherish the sarcasm of my friends, and nurture it in my kid, and hone my own. And I'm sure not going to change because of some psychbabble claptrap. Sarcasm: one of the many services I offer. A language I speak fluently. And one which I quite enjoy.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Building the IKEA thing. Hoping I remember how it all goes. Thank goodness the Teen is doing the heavy lifting. Timber and I are supervising because I have to fill the thing after it's built.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Today is video games on the couch, because if I try to do anything else the dog whining sends hot spears of lava through my brain.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Second lunch? Iced tea and eggplant parm...

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Skittles and Diet Pepsi....it's what for breakfast. Don't even point out that it's after noon...Timber is at the healed-enough stage to be actively pitiful and needing constant petting, I'm happy I managed to shower...

Monday, June 23, 2014

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... I am trapped by a finally-at-rest Timber. I hope SOMEONE will bring me food before I expire...

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Woken repeatedly through the night by an itchy, aggravated dog. Got nothing but time and a Do the Thing list ahead of me. Along with vertigo, still with me because why not? So I'm going back to sleep. Some days are not worth adulting.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... I did my nails today, YAY! I polished a dog hair (or cat hair, really could be either) into my thumb nail. Boo. I'm going to pretend it was an intended design. Yay! It wasn't on my Doing the Thing list originally, but I have since added it to the Doing the Thing list so I could then check it off that list. Those playing at home can also check it off. Ah, so satisfying! I did do the laundry thing and closet thing, too. Not the IKEA thing. Saving something for tomorrow.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Today is the day to do the things. Laundry/closet things. Build Ikea things. Throw away/donate things. Clean things. I'll start by playing some video games while lounging on the couch with two very happy dogs...

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Awake. One hour forty six minutes of sleep. Timber had an itch. Which meant a half hour of mad spins in a thwarted attempt to get to his private bits. We are both rather grumpy now. Sleep?

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... So....tired.

Saturday, June 21, 2014

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Yay! Timber is feeling so much better he actually moved to his usual spot, so Misha is very happy to be back on my lap.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... I DID THE THING! I feel so proud and accomplished. And another thing is in progress, so that totes counts as TWO things. I am on FIRE!* *Not literally. That would be very owie.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Yes! Calm dogs...time to shower and maybe even do some laundry!

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... I am so beyond tired. Timber seems more relaxed today, he's even sleeping. Maybe later I'll be able to shower and do laundry and all that stuff people do in Not Having A Sensitive Dog World. He's so darn sweet, I've hated setting him so upset, glad he's feeling better.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Ah, thunderstorms. You roll in, get my dogs all worked up so I'm awake and then roll the fuck out like nothing ever happened. Leaving me to clean up your mess. *sigh* Fine. Back to sleep. Maybe. Hope so.

Friday, June 20, 2014

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... You know that thing, where you're so tired you don't have the energy to sleep? That.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Timber is asleep again....And calm. Shhhhh, I'm going to try to catch some zzz's....

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Sleep? Sleep! Worth a try...

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Timber is awesome, Timber is great. Because I really love him I'm staying up so late! Timber is terrific, Timber is so rad. The reason why I can't sleep Is 'cause Timber lost his 'nads... Pirate poetry

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... And now, the thunderstorms. And my previously calm Misha is crawling into my lap, which is occupied by a Timber who is NOT needing comfort at all but just needs cuddles. Yup...It's going to be another looooooong night.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Update from Timber Hello! Yesterday Soft Lady took me on a drive and I got sleepy and, and....Gentle Reader, I apologize, but there is no way to phrase this more delicately....I think they did something to my testicles. I haven't been allowed to examine the area...Soft Lady did magic and now there is a force field around my head that stops me from cleaning my private areas...And I can't imagine WHY anyone would want my testicles removed. Plus it itches and I can't scratch. This makes no sense. Anyway, I'm sorry of consumed with concern about my testicles. I can't even hump George, I'm so worried. And itchy. Itchy and worried is a bad combination. On the plus side I'm getting lots of snacks. Hand fed. Cheese! On a schedule, like every six hours. I hope this continues after I find my testicles....

Wednesday, June 18, 2014

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... It's going to be a looooong night. Poor Timber got tutored today, but because one testicle didn't descend it required abdominal surgery to find it. So he's drugged up, itchy, owie, without balls, and refuses to wear the cone of shame...he's a pirate, he needs to retain some dignity! Yes, inflatable collar getting overnight, arrives tomorrow. Yes, note to self: train puppies on cones of shame.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Vertigo'd so hard I ended up on my ass in the bathroom. Which was okay, because I could find the pill I dropped and bent over to look for which led to said vertigo dropping me on the floor. Going to spend the day doing online classes, playing video games, napping, and, should the dogs wake up from some serious Sunday slumber, maybe clicking and treating and training. Although they keep telling me to go back to bed so we can dog pile into a nap...

via Facebook...

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... My ear actually hurts. I see my ENT on Tuesday, so I'm trying to hold out until then. Stupid allergies giving me stupid vertigo. On the plus side I can get the Teen to fetch me things. "Oh Teen! I haz a thirst, can you fetch me some fluids? I would get it myself but I might topple over...."

Friday, June 13, 2014

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Kathy, I got home just in time. Vertigo is out. Of. Control. And it's terrible being nauseous and hungry at the same time. Oh well, my dogs needed some extent smuggling and I can use my time to read, make notes, and process everything I learned this past week :)

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Things to do: gazillion elebenty plus one. Motivation to do things: 0.00003201

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Okay, finally sleepy. Night! Hope I don't see you until morning!

Wednesday, June 4, 2014

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Not sleeping. Time to snack. Not because it'll make me sleepy, but because since I'm awake I may as well enjoy something tasty...

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Today is the day of Pissing Off Darlene By Being SO BLOODY STUPID That I'm Face-Palming The Back Of My Skull. 1. MRA trying to convince me--you'll love this--that NOT ALL MRAs. Really. 2. Man repeatedly asking, on post detailing how men don't need to take space in feminist spaces, but instead use the privileged spaces they occupy, if I could explain more about that to him because he really needs to understand better in order to actually be a feminist. Also, he took a college course. 3. Woman calling me darling after explaining how sexy shoes lead to being raped... and 4. woman wanting to criminalize certain types of birth to "protect teh babies" even though it's been shown that doing so only discourages women from seeking medical care. Then blocking me when I pointed out that controlling women's bodies is no cause for celebration. Seriously, am I being set up here? On any given day ONE of these would be enough. All four? The interwebz is trying to kill me...

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Thoughts for my brother, Brian, who is in the hospital. Kidney biopsy done, waiting for results, likely rejection needing some treatment. You know, I originally asked for a puppy :D

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... So. Tired. I'm too old for less than three hours sleep.

Tuesday, June 3, 2014

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... How did I miss this show? Love this!

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... I am listing right and pinballing off things. Also occasionally grab onto random items to help me stay upright. Misha and Timber seem to just know to stay still for a few moments while my head stops the spinning and the twirling. Good dogs! Brought to you by Plant Porn. Plant Porn: having teh sex in your yard and spewing pollen all around you. Because, deep down, nature hates you.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Awake. Why? Because Timber had an emergency poop situation which requires immediate outside, and Misha then decided to puke up all over the bed. Going to try for more sleeps....

Monday, June 2, 2014

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Eating comfort doughnuts because they totally help with the allergies and vertigo and such....

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Up, dinner eaten, tv watched. Put up new and improved hammock, thanks to hardware by R.j. , among with his assistance. Back to bed because the world is spinny and wobbly.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... In bed, trying to keep my head still, might take a nap...

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Annnnnnnnnd... Vertigo. Thank you, thank you! I'd take a bow, but I'd likely fall over.

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... Off to do the PT. I may or may not survive to do food shopping after. Which means I may or may not eat later. We need more delivery in this area :D

Darlene Pineda

via Facebook... So. So. So. Tired. Lessons learned: 1. Driving for 15+ hours over the course of a few days is no longer doable. Or, more accurately, is doable but not when mixed with anything else. Like walking, talking, or doing things other than sleep. 2. If I don't stay on top of my allergies my ears get clogged, which gives me the vertigo. It also, I've just learned, will give me the motion sickness while driving. Driving while having the motion sickness is unbelievably horrid. Trust me on this. Moral: Fly more.
