via Facebook... Right flank HURTS. No fever so no infection. Steady in the kidney so likely not a stone. Diagnose? Ruptured cyst. NOT going to sit in ER or urgent care for hours just for them to tell me this. It's easier to be miserably in pain at home, in my own bed, cuddled with dogs. Nothing to be done anyway. Manage pain. Call nephrologist tomorrow for antibiotics. Or not. They wreck my stomach. So if you see weird posts? The meds kicked in :) Also I'm doing Words with Friends between naps and bouts of intense itching. Because pain meds make me itch. Friend word me. Post outrageous, funny, snarky memes. Cute animal pictures. Nutella recipes. Crafty things. Most importantly? Keep checking your blood pressure. And be an organ donor. My friend are the best friends. True fact.

via Facebook... Written in 1939. And wow. My brain is kind of reeling. I need to come back to it later. The comments her mother makes though: "The Jews are essentially an Oriental race,' she stormed, 'East is East, and Jews and Christians cannot really meet any more than Christians and Chinese. They accomplish things in business because they are shrewder than Christians and never hesitate to seize an unfair advantage. They accomplish things in science yes, but mostly windy theories like those of Einstein and Freud. Jewish painters like Picasso and Modigliani are clever but never great." And then there is this gem: "He looks upon Hitler as something malignantly unique, and it is no use trying to tell him that a hundred years hence the world will no more call Hitler a swine for expelling the Jews than it does Edward I of England, who did the same thing in the thirteenth century—an expulsion that remained in strict effect until the time of Cromwell, because a hundred years hence another country will be having its Jewish problem, unless…"
